The most beautiful man I have ever known starts chemotherapy today. He has been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma. His prognosis is good, there is excellent care, and doctors assure its “treatable and beatable.” Nevertheless, this is cancer and there is a fight ahead.

I knew it was going to be a great day when after two hours of sleep my eyes popped open at 4:30am and I jumped out of bed. Later on that night we saluted the full moon.
